Description

Franco Zeffirelli directs this contemporary variation on the Romeo and Juliet story. When 17-year-old David (Martin Hewitt) falls in love with 15-year-old Jade (Brooke Shields), their parents intervene and put a stop to the relationship. But their forced separation only makes David grow more obsessed with Jade, and as his actions grow more threatening, it is revealed that the love between the two teenagers has affected the relationships between all the different members of the family.
